Each member of our Board of Directors brings key attributes to our community, such as leadership, strategic guidance, a proactive approach to emergency preparedness, and more. The Board works closely with the District, establishing policies that deliver effective fire protection and emergency medical services, ensuring District resources are being managed responsibly, and upholding the trust of the community. 

 

Their commitment to our District and providing comprehensive public service is at the heart of what they do, and bolsters their mission of protecting the lives and property of residents throughout our communities.

Meet Our Fire District Board Members

Dave Kreuter

David Kreuter

Chairman

Director Kreuter joined the Board in April 2016 and currently serves as chairman. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Law School.  He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, specializing in commercial litigation and business matters. He has a CPA certificate but is not a practicing CPA.  Director Kreuter has spent many dedicated years serving his community as a Creve Coeur City Councilman and has been involved in numerous committees and boards. 

 

Formerly, he was the chairman of the board of the University of Missouri - Extension Council and president of the Creve Coeur Squires, as well as a member of the St. Louis County Public Transportation Commission.  He is presently a director of the Graeser/Olive Transportation Development District for the City of Creve Coeur. Director Kreuter is dedicated to serving his local parish, Our Lady of the Pillar, and has devoted time to numerous not-for-profit and service organizations.

Harry Baider

Secretary

Director Baider joined the Board in July 2014 and currently serves as secretary.  He has been a resident of the District for 59 years.  Director Baider is a former reserve St. Louis County police officer and was a manager of the Safety and Security department for DePaul Hospital.  He is now retired from Ascent, LLC. after a 21 year career as a corporate security manager.  

 

Director Baider serves on the board of directors for Central County Emergency 911 dispatch and is involved in community programs with MoDOT and St. Louis County.  He has dedicated his life to service and remains committed to the safety and well-being of the citizens, members, and visitors of the District. 

Harvey Seigel

Harvey Seigel

Treasurer

Director Seigel joined the Board in April 1990 and currently serves as treasurer.  He brings decades of experience and dedicated public service to the community. Throughout his tenure, he has remained committed to strengthening the Fire District’s services and ensuring the safety of its citizens and visitors.  He previously served on the St. Louis County Fire Standards Commission and as a board member of Central County Emergency 911 dispatch.

 

Director Seigel is an active member of the Creve Coeur Lions Club and the Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the committee for Boy Scout Troop 11. Now retired, he remains committed to serving the community.
